Chelsea Decide Fikayo Tomori Transfer With Three Clubs Interested

Chelsea Fikayo Tomori Transfer

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori has been tipped for a move away from Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window after struggling for game time under Frank Lampard this season.

West Ham was keen to take the 22-year-old on a season-long at the beginning of the current campaign, but Tomori chose to stay and fight for a place at Chelsea.

With the transfer window reopening next month, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is interested in signing the Canada-born centre-back, according to Football Insider.

The Hammers could also renew their interest in the defender – but both Premier League sides could end up being disappointed.

Rennes have also expressed an interest in signing Tomori on loan for the rest of the season, and the French club is the defender’s most likely destination, according to a report from TalkSPORT.

The report says Chelsea have a good relationship with Rennes following the summer transfer of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from the Ligue 1 outfit.

Chelsea host West Ham on Monday as Lampard’s side look to bounce back from successive Premier League defeats to Wolves and Everton.
