From being a ballboy to Liverpool's youngest CL debutant: Billy Koumetio

It was an unforgettable moment for the young centre-back, who joined Jurgen Klopp's side from Orleans in January 2019, which allowed him to witness one of the club's most memorable nights.

Billy Koumetio came on for Fabinho at half-time in the game against Midtjylland and in the process, became the youngest Liverpool player to play in a Champions League game.

He was 18 years and 25 days old, breaking the previous record held by Antonio Barragan record (18 years and 59 days).

However, what everyone might not know is that just 19 months ago, Koumetio was present on the sidelines in one of Liverpool's biggest games ever.

Barcelona visited Anfield and got smashed 4-0 in a historic comeback - the defender was actually a ballboy at the game back then!

Since then, he has gone to perform very well for the youth teams and was rightly awarded his CL debut by Jurgen Klopp.

We're not quite sure which moment Koumetio will remember more - his debut, or that comeback as we made our way to the CL final!
