Fulham Vs Liverpool: Klopp To Be without Seven Stars for clash

Fulham Vs Liverpool Klopp without Seven Stars

Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsmikas have added to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s selection headache after picking up injuries in the Champions League draw against Midtjylland in midweek.

Both are doubtful for the clash at Craven Cottage, although Klopp has received a boost with Alisson fit to take the place of Caoimhin Kelleher, who has impressed in the first-choice keeper’s absence.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita returned to the starting line-up in Denmark, both continuing their comeback from injury after coming off the bench during last weekend’s win over Wolves.

They will be available for Sunday’s game against Fulham, but Thiago Alcantara, James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri are all sidelined, along with long-term injury victims Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be in the squad after the former  Arsenal midfielder returned to training with the rest of the first team.

The 27-year-old has been out since suffering a knee injury in pre-season, and while Sunday’s game could be too soon for him, his impending return to action is a welcome boost for Klopp.

“He has been doing parts of training now for a week or so, he is now in full training and we will see,” Klopp said of Oxlade-Chamberlain on Friday.

“So the situation probably demands to involve him as soon as possible, but I don’t know if the weekend is that already. Nobody else is coming back, I’m afraid.”
