Koeman react to his Barca Job: 'Now I'm where I wanted to be but it's not an easy place'

Koeman says that he had a quiet start of the year as he was coaching the Netherlands back then and that he had to deal with heart problems and COVID-19 this year.

The Dutchman is not happy with the results so far.

"My year? It was quiet at the beginning because I was a national coach. I had problems with my heart and then COVID-19 came. That made things very hard. Now I’m where I wanted to be, but it’s not an easy place," Ronald Koeman said during the Eibar press conference, as quoted by Diario AS.

"That said, there are no easy places for a coach to work. It all comes down to results. Hopefully, next year will be better in terms of COVID-19 and for the club."

Koeman took charge at Camp Nou back in August, replacing Quique Setien. Barcelona has had a slow start under the new coach. While they managed to advance to the Round of 16 in the Champions League, the Catalans aren't doing as well in La Liga, currently sitting in fifth place.
