Liverpool Identify Georginio Wijnaldum Transfer Replacement

Lille star Renato Sanches is top of the list to replace Georginio Wijnaldum at Liverpool, according to Le 10 Sport.

In his first season with Lille, the Portugal international was inducted into the Ligue 1 team of the season after becoming the main man in north France.

And he has continued that form into this season with Jurgen Klopp liking the look of the Amadora-born star.

Le 10 Sport report that Sanches’ profile particularly appeals to the German manager.

The Reds have not given up hope but they have a contingency plan should Wijnaldum decide to leave the club.

Whether Lille are willing to negotiate remains to be seen but they have been particularly stung by the Covid-19 crisis and could look to sell to make some quick cash.
