Abramovich Not In Good Terms With Granovskaia Over Lampard’s Sack

Abramovich With Granovskaia Lampard's Sack

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and club chief Marina Granovskaia are not in good terms as regards what to do with Frank Lampard, according to reports.

And, if the Blues lose their FA Cup showdown to Luton Town on Sunday, a parting of the ways could be on the cards.

Chelsea thought they’d finish in the top two at the start of the campaign but, presently, they’re 11 points behind Manchester United at the top of the table.

And according to ESPN, Abramovich and Granovskaia are clashing behind the scenes.

The reports says the pair are torn over whether to wield the axe now, and hire an interim replacement, or wait and see until the end of the season.

Interim replacements Avram Grant and Andriy Shevchenko have been mooted but, at the top, Chelsea are unsure over what course of action to take.

And, to make matters worse for Lampard, it seems as though the players are starting to lose faith in his managerial methods.

Chelsea squad members are said to be ‘confused’ by Lampard's approach, believing his constant tinkering to his starting XI doesn’t help their cause.
