Abramovich To Set Ideal Replacement Plan For Lampard In Motion

Abramovich Replacement Plan For Lampard

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has found himself under the microscope in recent weeks with speculation over his future mounting by the day.

Five defeats in eight have left Chelsea ninth in the table, while confidence is at an all-time low.

An FA Cup win over Luton Town has kept the axe from being wielded for now but Chelsea have some crucial games in the Premier League to come, by then, Lampard will have a good idea of his future by the end of his next three-match stretch.

Subsequently, Rafa Benitez has left his job at Dalian Yifeng in China and a return to Chelsea might not be the worst idea.

The Spaniard’s last spell proved fruitful, though unpopular among the fans, and Benitez, 60, replacing Lampard will surely cause a huge rift with the fanbase.

But with supporters not allowed at Stamford Bridge, Club owner Roman Abramovich might be tempted to bring back the former Liverpool manager until the end of the season to bring some stability.

It will also give Abramovich to make further plots on his key target Julian Nagelsmann in the summer.
