Barcelona boss Koeman confirm his love for Puig: 'I clearly like the fact that he doesn't give up'

Koeman believes that all players should have the same attitude and the coach claims he was happy to see Riqui score.

The Dutchman praises Puig for enjoying even the few minutes he gets.

"I clearly like the fact that Riqui Puig doesn't give up. It's how all the players should be. Puig hasn't had many minutes today but he was influential in this game," Ronald Koeman said in the post-match interview after the Elche win.

"Of course, I liked Riqui's goal. Despite [him] not having minutes, he always enjoys when he gets minutes and wants to show that he can have a future [at the club]. The goal was important to close the scoreline."

Puig has played only 195 minutes across 10 matches for Barcelona this term. However, the midfielder always looked great when given the chance.
