Barcelona extend Riqui Puig's contract until 2023

Barcelona have agreed to trigger an option in Riqui Puig's contract to extend his current deal until 2023, according to Mundo Deportivo.

As the Catalans haven't confirmed the extension yet, the 21-year-old is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

Nevertheless, it looks like the 21-year-old is going nowhere anytime soon as a few much more reputable sources have recently confirmed his stay at Camp Nou beyond January.

The midfielder, meanwhile, remains at the very bottom of Ronald Koeman's pecking order with just five appearances across all competitions this term.
