Barcelona Potential IN & OUT transfers with possibility ratings

Here's everything to know about Barca's potential transfer activity in January.

INS

Memphis Depay

Ronald Koeman would like to sign Memphis Depay in January but Barcelona is set to wait until the end of the season to land the Lyon forward on a free transfer (Mundo Deportivo).

The 26-year-old all but confirmed that report earlier this week, saying that he's ready to stay in France until the end of the current campaign.

Lyon head coach Rudi Garcia also believes that his side 'will lose Memphis for free in the summer'.

Probability rating: 3/10 for a move in January, 9/10 for a free transfer in June.

Georginio Wijnaldum

Georginio Wijnaldum hasn't accepted Liverpool's latest renewal offer and the negotiations have reached a 'stalemate' (Sky Sports).

The Dutchman is out of contract at the end of the season and Koeman wants to sign him for the Catalans.

The thing is that the 30-year-old wants reportedly around £200,000-a-week wages on his new deal and Barca are unlikely to offer him that paycheck, considering the club's current financial problems.

Probability rating: 2/10 for a move in January, 7/10 for a free transfer in June.

David Alaba

Barcelona is out of the race for David Alaba (Marca).

The Austrian is set to leave Bayern Munich on a free transfer in the summer but the Catalans can't meet his wage demands.

Real Madrid is believed to be the frontrunners for the 28-year-old now.

Probability rating: 1/10 for a move in January, 2/10 for a free transfer in June.

OUTS

Junior Firpo

Junior Firpo has received offers from several clubs and Barca intend to sell him (Mundo Deportivo).

MD also mentioned Carles Alena in their report as one of the two likeliest candidates to leave Camp Nou this month and the midfielder moved to Getafe on loan just a few days after publication.

Probability rating: 7/10

Riqui Puig

Riqui Puig won't quit the Blaugrana on loan in January (RAC1).

Koeman, however, recently advised the 21-year-old to leave the club on loan in search of more regular playing time as a 'young player can't go a year without playing'.

The La Masia graduate has made just five appearances across all competitions this term, without a single start in La Liga so far.

Probability rating: 3/10
