Barcelona's presidential election 'likely to be postponed until May

Barcelona's presidential election is 'likely to be postponed until the first or the second Sunday of May 2021' due to high health risks, as per Diario Sport.

There is also another scenario: the election could go as planned (on January 24) but only those club members who'll have voting stations in their cities would be allowed to vote.

This means that no more than 50 per cent of all the club members would be allowed to take part in the voting procedure, which is certainly unfair.

Besides, the club's interim president Carles Tusquets supposedly can't be in charge of Barcelona for more than three months; as a reminder, he was appointed as an interim president in October.

Also on Friday, January 15, Barcelona will hold a meeting with all the three registered presidential candidates: Joan Laporta, Victor Font and Toni Freixa, as per Diario Sport.

There is a rumoured idea of discussing Eric Garcia's deal; if the candidates aren't against this signing, Carles Tusquets will possibly finalise the move already in January.
