Chelsea Name Six Coaches To Work Under New Boss Tuchel

Chelsea Six Coaches Work Under Tuchel

Chelsea have confirmed a wealth of backroom staff members staying on after Frank Lampard sacking.

Thomas Tuchel is expected to bring a number of his own people to the club after replacing Lampard.

Assistant manager Jody Morris followed Lampard out the exit door earlier this week when the former midfielders were sacked.

But Goal is now claiming that six backroom staff members have been told they will keep their jobs.

Joe Edwards took Chelsea training on Tuesday before Tuchel’s arrival and he will remain in West London.

Also overseeing training before the former Paris Saint-Germain boss landed was Anthony Barry.

Another Lampard appointment, Henrique Hilario, will remain the club’s goalkeeping coach.

James Russell is to continue as Hilario’s assistant in coaching the keepers.

And fitness coaches Matt Birnie and Will Tullett are to stay in their roles, having worked under a number of different managers.

Tuchel is expected to bring in a number of his own trusted staff members to help formulate a title challenge.

Long-term assistant Arno Michels, who began working with the new Blues boss at Mainz, has joined Chelsea.

Also pictured in Tuesday evening’s training session was Zsolt Low, a coach first employed by Tuchel at Paris Saint-Germain.

The new management team will be in the dugout for Wednesday evening’s clash with Wolves, kicking off at 7pm.
