Chelsea Reveals Strict Criteria For Frank Lampard Successor

Chelsea reportedly have specific criteria as they consider replacements for under-huge-pressure Frank Lampard – with the club said to want a German-speaking manager.

A dismal run has seen the Blues plummet down the table, and they are now in battle to rescue their top-flight campaign by salvaging a top-four spot.

And the Stamford Bridge side are targeting a German-speaking manager to try and coax them back into form, according to The Athletic.

That means RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann, Red Bull sport chief Ralf Rangnick and Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl could all be on the shortlist.

All three have previously managed Werner at RB Leipzig, and could be charged with helping the Germany international return to the form which saw him fire 95 goals in 159 games for the Bundesliga club.

Thomas Tuchel could also be considered after being sacked by Paris Saint-Germain in December.
