Despite his lack of a clinical edge this season, Werner has outperformed his xG by 8.28 since 2016.

Tottenham's Son Heung-Min is far and away from Europe's most efficient scorer, converting difficult chances, followed by teammate Harry Kane and Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

This is yet more evidence that Werner deserves patience as he looks to settle into life at Chelsea.
