Georginio Wijnaldum refuse to comment on Liverpool renewal as Barca move edges closer

The 30-year-old remains to be Ronald Koeman top midfield target for the summer transfer window.

"No, there's no update," Georginio Wijnaldum told Sky Sports on Thursday when asked about his contract talks with Liverpool.

"I also think that I'm not the one who should give an update, the club should give one."

Ronald Koeman has never made a secret of his desire to sign Wijnaldum for Barcelona.

As Georginio is out of contract at Anfield in June, the Catalans are said to be favourites to land the 30-year-old on a free transfer at the end of the season.
