Haaland’s Super Brace Not Enough Against Monchengladbach

Erling Haaland two goals

Borussia Dortmund suffered another serious setback in the Bundesliga title race after losing 4-2 during their visit to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday.

The Norwegian achieved both goals for Dortmund in the first half (minutes 21 and 28), provisionally tracing the previous advantage of ‘Gladbach’, who had opened the scoring at 10min through the Swiss Nico Elvedi.

Borussia Mönchengladbach turned the situation around later, with another goal from Elvedi (31) and those from Algerian Ramy Bensebaini (49) and Frenchman Marcus Thuram (78).

With 29 points, Borussia Dortmund (5th), which has only added one point in their last three games, leaves the Champions League zone, which is provisionally entered by Borussia Mönchengladbach (4th), who has two more points than his rival this Friday.

At the start of the second half, Borussia Mönchengladbach took the lead with their third goal, the work of Ramy Bensebaini (49), after a pass from Neuhaus, who also gave the assist for the goal from Marcus Thuram (78), which established the final 4-2.
