'I'm happy for Umtiti, our pairing was good' : Mingueza

Umtiti had to replace Araujo in the starting line-up after the latter picked up an injury during the warm-up.

Mingueza says that Sam does well in training and deserves to play more.

"It's bad what happened to Ronald Araujo. I'm happy for Samuel Umtiti. He trains well and deserves to play. Our pairing was good, he had a great game. I hope he continues like that," Oscar Mingueza said after the Granada win.

As a reminder, Araujo was meant to start against Granada but picked up an injury during the warm-up and Umtiti replaced him. Ronald Koeman had no other options as Clement Lenglet was suspended for the game while Gerard Pique was out with an injury.
