Koeman name Barcelona versatile player Sergi Roberto possible return date

The coach believes that Roberto needs a few more training sessions before he's ready. However, he might be ready to face Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.

"Sergi Roberto needs more training before he can return. He has only done two short training sessions with the group. 

On Friday we have a more intense session for those who don't play and we will decide if he can be with us on Sunday [vs Athletic Bilbao]," Ronald Koeman said during the press conference ahead of the Rayo Vallecano clash.

The 28-year-old hasn't been included in the matchday squad for the Rayo Vallecano trip. Roberto has been out with a muscle injury since November. In total, the right-back has managed one goal and two assists in 10 appearances for Barcelona this season.
