Leo Messi: "I did not dare look him (Thierry Henry) in the face,"

Messi was aware of Henry's greatness when the Frenchman arrived at Barca. Leo was stunned to be on the same team as Thierry.

"I did not dare look him (Thierry Henry) in the face," Leo Messi once told L'Equipe. "I knew everything he had done in England. I had an image of him made [in my mind] and suddenly we were on the same team."

Henry joined Barcelona in 2007. By that time, he had won the Premier League with Arsenal twice, the World Cup and had made the Ballon d'Or top 3 on two occasions.

The Frenchman stayed at Barca until 2010 and played 89 matches together with Messi. Leo assisted nine of Henry's goals at Barca while Thierry returned the favour eight times.
