Man United Make Final Decision On Signing Boubakary Soumare

Manchester United have been linked with signing Lille star Boubakary Soumare throughout the January transfer window so far.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side won’t be signing the 21-year-old in January, despite the Norwegian being well-stocked in that department.

However, it’s possible United will opt to pursue the midfielder in the summer instead.

According to The Athletic, the Red Devils have decided not to sign Soumare this January, despite scouts being impressed by the Lille star.

The 21-year-old has made 16 Ligue 1 matches this term, helping his side to third in the table behind Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain.

But while United have been keeping tabs on the Frenchman, they appear content with what they’ve currently got.

United are next in action against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday (4.30pm).

And they’ll be looking to avoid a repeat of what happened last season, when goals from Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah gave the Reds all three points.
