Mesut Ozil has now been officially unveiled as a Fenerbahce player after ending his Arsenal nightmare.
And now, the playmaker, 32, has held his first press conference as a Fenerbahce star – revealing it’s a ‘dream’ for both himself and the club.
The former Schalke star also confirmed he won’t play for Germany again after his retirement from international duty.
Ozil – accompanied by wife Amine Gulse and daughter Eda – said: “It was a dream for Fenerbahce, it was a dream for me.
“I believe that I will win the championship with Fenerbahce.
“I hope we will be champions and do important things in the Champions League.”
Fenerbahce president Ali Koc suggested Ozil had taken a pay-cut on his £350,000 a week wages at Arsenal to complete the move to his boyhood club.

Ozil posed with the No67 shirt at his unveiling.

It’s believed the unusual number is a sweet nod to his heritage, with 67 being the area code of Zonguldak, the province his family left to emigrate to Germany.
