New Boss Thomas Tuchel To Discover Best Chelsea XI

Tuchel Best Chelsea XI

Thomas Tuchel has been tasked with getting Chelsea into a Champions League qualification spot, with the Blues sitting five points away having played 20 Premier League games.

And the former PSG boss must discover his best Chelsea XI in “six months” or he will be “out of a job”, says former Blues player Glen Johnson.

Speaking on behalf of CheltenhamGuides.com, the 36-year-old said: “His biggest challenge will be finding his best 11.

“This was Lampard’s issue, there were so many good players that came through the door at once but only 11 can play and there are quite a few players that are similar too.”

And Johnson, who spent four seasons at Chelsea and helped them win their first Premier League title in 2005, warned that there will be a time limit on the Blues’ patience for the German to find the winning formula in his team selection.

He added: “That Chelsea seat is the hottest seat in world football so the manager isn’t going to risk it because he could be out of a job in six months.”
