Southampton Vs Liverpool: Confirmed Lineup Out

Southampton Vs Liverpool Confirmed Lineup

Liverpool will be looking to stretch their lead at the top of the Premier League table once again as they take on Southampton at St. Mary’s tonight (Monday).

However, Manchester United are now breathing down their neck, with only goal difference keeping Liverpool on the top of the league table right now.

Jurgen Klopp would be wary of his side’s inability to sweep away teams this season, especially with the recent strings of draws.

Consecutive draws against Newcastle and West Brom are evidence of an out-of-form attack, which would be concerning for fans and the club alike.

Southampton are facing issues of their own after a stellar start to the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.

Nonetheless, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side are now winless in four league games and could soon drop out of the top half of the table if their rut continues.

Interestingly, the Reds’ last visit to St. Mary’s saw them come away with all three points with a narrow 1-2 win, with Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Danny Ings among the goals on the day.

Southampton XI (4-4-2): Forster, Walker-Peters, Bednarek, Stephens, Bertrand, Djenepo, Ward-Prowse, Diallo, Armstrong, Ings, Walcott

Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Henderson, Fabinho, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alcântara, Salah, Firmino, Mané
