Gabriel Okechukwu Signs Japanese Club

Nigerian international Gabriel Okechukwu has completed his move to Japanese side Sapporo FC in a 2million dollars per year deal.

He was a former player of Water FC in Nigeria and then played for Akwa United in the Nigerian Professional Football League where he scored 9 goals in 16 appearances before moving to Wydad Casablanca on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old striker was on loan at Chabab Mohammédia from Wydad before completing this move to Japan.

Okechukwu featured for the Nigerian U23 side between 2015 and 2017, getting 5 appearances and scoring 2 goals before his invite into the senior national team.

Sapporo FC plays in the Japanese J1 League and the striker the will hope to mark his mark in his new club.
