Tottenham Stops Harry Kane And Son Heung-Min Contract Talks

Tottenham Kane And Son Contract Talks

Tottenham have put Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min contract talks on hold until they have a clearer picture of their financial position amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Spurs’ revenues have been decimated by the pandemic and they have now decided to hold off renewal negotiations with Kane and Son, who are two of their highest earners.

Jose Mourinho said last month that it is impossible for clubs to tie down their star players while there is so much uncertainty but Spurs are hopeful of agreeing on new deals for both Kane and Son once their finances become more secure.

According to The Evening Standard, Spurs are not in any rush to get Son signed to a longer-term deal with the South Korea international still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current one and will shelve all contract talks with other senior players who have time left on their present deals.

Son, who has been linked with Real Madrid recently, would likely seek improved terms in the near future to take him closer to Kane’s £200,000-a-week wages, the same report claims.
