Font has been betting on Xavi during the whole presidential campaign. Last week, he revealed that Xavi will join Barca in April after the season in Qatar ends - in case Font is elected, of course.
"I talk more with Xavi than with my wife these days," Victor Font told Mundo Deportivo when asked whether he was in contact with the former midfielder who is believed to be the cornerstone of his project.
"We talk about many things. Yesterday I sent him the photo of the delivery of signatures. He asks about how the campaign is going, but also about other issues," the presidential candidate added.
In the same interview, Font mentioned a relationship between Xavi and Leo Messi which may guarantee that the Argentine stays at Barca for more years.
