Arteta Issue Fitness Updates On Six Arsenal Players Ahead Of Wolves Tie

Fitness Updates Arsenal Players Wolves Tie

Mikel Arteta has issued fresh updates on six Arsenal players ahead of their clash against Wolves tonight (Tuesday).

The Gunners confirmed that Kieran Tierney will miss the game against Wolves with the calf injury.

But there is better news on Bukayo Saka, who is back in full training after a hip injury kept him out of the game against Manchester United.

Saka will be assessed on Tuesday ahead of the game – and Arteta will hope to have the 19-year-old back as soon as possible.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is back in training, but it is unclear whether the Gabon international will be able to face Wolves due to quarantine rules.

Arteta said: “There’s still some things to clear up.

“Maybe yes, maybe no. We don’t know. We’re still doing some paperwork at the moment.”

Pablo Mari and Dani Ceballos have both returned to training after calf injuries and will face fitness tests on Tuesday.

Goalkeeper Mat Ryan will miss Tuesday’s game after picking up a hip injury in training.

Alexandre Lacazette is expected to feature despite having had to go to hospital after an awkward fall during the United game.

“We have to follow the protocols, we have to test him and make an x-ray,” said Arteta.
