Deadline Day: Daniel Levy Refuse To Sanction Dele Alli To PSG

Dele Alli’s last hope of a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain hangs on whether Tottenham can put a deal together for another attacking midfielder on Monday.

According to Sportsmail, manager Jose Mourinho has given the England forward the green light to leave the Lilywhites  — but chairman Daniel Levy is yet to sanction the switch to the French capital.

And as the transfer deadline approaches, Levy will only approve Alli’s exit if he can land a replacement for the 24-year-old.

Levy and Tottenham recruitment staff have been discussing their options over the past 48 hours.

The return of Christian Eriksen, who only left for Inter Milan a year ago, has been mooted but the cost of any deal makes it unlikely.

If Spurs do not sign an attacking midfielder, Alli will probably stay until the summer, despite limited game time under Mourinho.

Alli, Mourinho and PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino — who worked with the England international at Spurs — have all given the go-ahead for the move to be completed.

But Alli’s hopes hinge on whether Levy can complete a deal for another playmaker during the closing hours of the window.
