Leipzig Many Injury Problems Vs Liverpool’s Ahead Of UCL Tie

RB Leipzig has its own injury issues to contend with as they take on Liverpool who has been dealing with their own injury all season.

The Bundesliga side take on the Reds in Budapest in the last-16 of the competition on Tuesday night.

While the Reds are still missing several of their household names, boss Julian Nagelsmann is set to be without up to five of their players for the game – including the exciting January signing Dominik Szoboszlai, who impressed against the Reds for Salzburg in the Champions League last season.

The Hungarian winger has been added to his side’s Champions League squad for the knockout stages, but misses out on the chance to play in his nation’s capital due to a groin injury.

Influential Swedish midfielder Emil Forsberg is also out with a knee problem, with Benjamin Henrichs and Konrad Laimer also missing with their own knee issues.

Forward Justin Kluivert – the son of the former Netherlands forward Patrick and the scorer of what proved to be the winner in December’s 3-2 victory over Manchester United that secured qualification for the last-16 – is a doubt for the match with an ankle injury.

Jurgen Klopp is set to be without James Milner after he limped off in the defeat at Leicester, while Fabinho is also still absent after missing that game completely.

Ben Davies and Divock Origi rejoined training after their own injury issues, and while Naby Keita did train with the squad on Monday he hasn’t travelled to face his former club.
