Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi will be available for selection when Nigeria clash with Lesotho today after a second Covid test returned negative, officials disclosed.
“Iwobi’s further Covid-19 tests have returned negative,” Super Eagles spokesman Babafemi Raji disclosed.
The Everton star missed the 2021 AFCON qualifier in Benin after he was said to have tested positive.
Iwobi left the Super Eagles training camp on return from Benin, but Gernot Rohr had maintained the test result in Benin was “fake”.
He will now be expected to start ahead of Henry Onyekuru on the left side of attack.
