The Martin Odegaard Transfer Mistake Arsenal Are Making

Odegaard Transfer Mistake Arsenal

According to Goal, Arsenal and Real Madrid have agreed to sit down for transfer talks at the end of the campaign to discuss a permanent deal for Martin Odegaard.

However, that’s a mistake.

In waiting until the end of the campaign, the Gunners risk other clubs being interested in the Norway international.

Arsenal may find themselves facing stiff competition from stronger teams, however.

Chelsea have emerged as potential suitors for the 22-year-old, and Liverpool, who are Odegaard’s ‘dream club’, are also in the mix.

Then there’s Real Madrid’s asking price.

Odegaard moved to the Emirates in January, valued at £30million but there are now noises emerging from Spain that the La Liga giants could charge £50m instead.

Arsenal would be better off swooping now.

So Edu, in agreeing to wait until the end of the campaign, seems to be making a mistake.
