Arteta Gets Triple Injury Boost Ahead Of Slavia Prague Clash

Arteta Triple Injury Boost Slavia Prague Clash

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been handed a much-needed triple injury boost ahead of their Europa League showdown with Slavia Prague on Thursday.

The north Londoners head into the first-leg quarter-final clash looking to bounce back from last weekend’s humiliating 3-0 defeat by Liverpool in the Premier League.

A six-minute ‘Inside Training’ video, which was uploaded to the club’s official website, gave an insight into the club’s preparations and Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Granit Xhaka were all part of the first-team squad.

Meanwhile, defender David Luiz faces a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury that needed to be operated on.

Arsenal manager Arteta also said full-back Kieran Tierney, who was forced off with a knee problem just before half-time against Liverpool, is a doubt for the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final against Slavia Prague on Thursday.

Asked if he expected his players to show a statement of intent against the Czech Republic outfit, Arteta said: “Absolutely.”
