Barcelona ready to loan out Puig but player wants Barca stay

Barcelona plan to loan Riqui Puig out next season, according to Diario Sport.

There's much competition in his position and Barca are afraid that the 21-year-old will spend another season as an out-of-favour player.

Puig himself, however, still wants to fight for his place at Barca but may reconsider it in the future, the source adds.

A few La Liga clubs, as well as teams from Portugal, Italy, Germany and England are said to be interested in landing the player on loan.

The youngster has played 477 minutes across all competitions for Barca this season, scoring one goal.
