Real Madrid set to rotate Kroos, Modric and Vinicius ahead of Getafe clash

Zidane could turn to Castilla players for the Getafe game to ease the physical strain on the first-teamers.

According to Marca, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Vinicius have accumulated fatigue being undisputed starters throughout the season and risk picking up an injury if they don't get some rest.

The Croat has already accrued over 3.000 minutes on the pitch across 40 games. The German has is approaching this mark (2.923 minutes) featuring on 39 occasions. And the Brazilian has amassed less than the other two (just 2.091 minutes) in 41 games but he's also at his physical limit due to his 'explosive style of play', the report says.

Note, that these numbers don't include the playing time they've clocked on international duty.

Besides Sergio Ramos, Lucas Vazquez, Eden Hazard, Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane are all sidelined and Nacho Fernandez and Casemiro are suspended for the Sunday game.

The report says Zinedine Zidane could call up and slot in some Castilla players for the upcoming Getafe clash with Victor Chust, Antonio Blanco and Sergio Arribas being mentioned.

Fringe players Marcelo, Alvaro Odriozola, Isco, Rodrygo and Mariano could play a fundamental role in Real Madrid's season finish as the team are fighting on two fronts and need fresh legs to stay competitive.
