Three Chelsea Players To Be Benched Henceforth After West Brom Defeat

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has not been happy since his side’s emphatic 5-2  defeat to West Brom on Saturday.

Sam Allardyce’s side sprung a major surprise in west London and the result means the Blues hopes of finishing in the top four now hang in the balance.

Here are three Chelsea players who need dropping in the aftermath of the result.

Thiago Silva

The Brazil international was undoubtedly world-class during his prime but the Samba star hasn’t looked the same player throughout his time in the capital.

His lack of pace is evident and that makes him a weak link at the back for Chelsea.

The Blues are already looking for replacements for the former PSG captain, with Bayern Munich pair David Alaba and Niklas Sule under consideration.

Jorginho

Jorginho is too slow and lacks the energy required to be one of the best midfielders on the planet.

N’bolo Kante, when fully fit, should dislodge the Italy international from Tuchel’s side.

Timo Werner

The Germany international has failed to live up to expectations at Stamford Bridge ever since his blockbuster move from RB Leipzig back in the summer.

And Werner failed to register a single shot on target as the Baggies caused a major upset.
