Cristiano Ronaldo’s Mother Wants Sporting Lisbon Return For Son

Cristiano Ronaldo‘s mother Dolores says she will attempt to convince her son to make a sensational return to Sporting Lisbon at the end of the season.

Juve’s struggles are in stark contrast to Ronaldo’s first club Sporting, who recently sealed their first Primeira Liga title since 2002.

If this is the case the 36-year-old may well decide to cut short his stay in Turin and leave this summer, despite his contract not being set to expire until the end of next season.

Dolores was filmed by one fan joining in with the festivities on a balcony in the city.

In the video she was asked about her son’s future, and she replied: “I’m going to go to Turin and speak to him. Next year he will play in Alvalade, I’ll convince him and he will return.”

Ronaldo came through the academy at Sporting but made just 31 senior appearances before Manchester United splashed out £12.24m in 2003 to make him, at the time, the world’s most expensive teenager.

It remains to be seen whether the Portuguese star would be as keen as his mother to go back to his old team.
