Agreement in principle between Barcelona and Marseille for Konrad

Barcelona and Marseille have reached an agreement over the transfer of Konrad de la Fuente.

Both clubs had been negotiating for several days and there is now a preliminary agreement in place which will be finalised over the coming days.

The French side will pay around five million euros for the player, but the distribution of money made from any future sale of the player is yet to be agreed.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the idea is to split any future profits 50:50 between the two clubs, which would mean Barcelona would make a tidy profit if Konrad were to leave Marseille.

The winger made his debut with the Camp Nou side this season but hasn't done enough to cement a place in Ronald Koeman's plans for next season. There is a lot of competition in his position and therefore his playing time would be limited, so a move is thought to be the best option for the American.

Barcelona also urgently need money coming into the club and will look to move on a few more players before the transfer window closes.
