And according to L’Équipe, Madrid have reserved Zinedine Zidane's old number five shirt for the French superstar.
The #5 is traditionally worn by a defender or a midfielder and is not a number that you see on the back of a world-class forward like Mbappe!
This news hasn't gone down very well with some fans, who are labelling this as a wrong decision:
