Courtois speaks to the media after Villarreal draw
"It leaves a bad taste in our mouths. In the end, you want to win at home. If a direct rival loses, you want to get the three points," Thibaut Courtois said after the match against Villarreal, as quoted by Diario AS.
"Villarreal are a Champions League team, it is a good team, and if you don't press well upfront, they make a triangle and get past you.
"In the second half, we played better, but we could not show the same intensity as against Mallorca. But hey, a clean sheet and we move on.
"They did not come out to press too high, they sat in a middle block. It was very difficult, we missed passes, the crosses didn't reach our players. It happens sometimes."
Courtois played a huge role in Real Madrid being able to get at least a point at home. The goalkeeper made several key saves throughout the match, and his passing was on point as well.
