FC Barcelona’s new top shirt seller after Leo Messi’s departure has been revealed
According to Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, Memphis Depay's shirt is now the most popular one among Barcelona fans now that Lionel Messi is no longer at the club.
That is quite a big surprise since the Dutchman has just arrived at Camp Nou. Still, he has made a good first impression on the Barca supporters.
In his first for La Liga gams for the club, Memphis scored twice and provided one assist.
As a result, Depay's No.9 shirt sells the best, followed by those of Frenkie de Jong and Ansu Fati who inherited the No.10 shirt from Messi.
As Spanish media outlet Marca reported last month, Leo's No.10 jersey accounted for 80% of shirt sales for Barcelona prior to his departure. That resulted in an income of between €20m and €30m per year for the club.
