France president Macron pursuing Mbappe to remain at PSG: club offer two-year contract

PSG will be presenting a new two-year contract extension offer to Kylian Mbappe next month, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

The Frenchman has less than a year remaining on his deal and is open to sign a pre-contract with any club in January.

As a result, PSG wants to accelerate their contract offer with a huge salary that trumps anything from their previous offers.

Marca report that France president Emmanuel Macron is being used as a charm-offensive and has been engaged in personal text messages with Kylian – persuading him to stay in Paris.

Macron believes that the Frenchman should remain at PSG as he is an example to the youngsters in France.

However, Mbappe is still reportedly intent on moving to Real Madrid next summer after feeling ‘betrayed’ for not being allowed to join them this year.

PSG will hope Macron's messages can convince the young Frenchman to sign a new deal that keeps him at the club for the foreseeable future.
