How Vinicius evolved under Ancelotti in Real Madrid

Vinicius Jr. is finally carrying some goalscoring burden for Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old already has four goals in as many league games this season. Such momentum in front of goal has turned the heads of Real Madrid supporters and critics alike.

It has for Ancelotti too. According to Marca, Carlo Ancelotti's initial plan was to play a front three that doesn't include Vinicius this season.

This can be seen in Madrid's first game of the season against Alaves - the Brazilian started on the bench. Meanwhile, Hazard, Benzema and Bale started as our front three.

Interestingly, Vinicius came off the bench and scored in that first game. He followed it up with a double against Levante.

Vinicius impressive performance has forced him into Ancelotti's plan for Real Madrid's attack. Bale's injury has also
helped his case in no small measure. He won't be an impact sub this season.

Real Madrid's front three is now Vinicius, Benzema and Hazard. Not bad at all.
