Koeman set to deploy 3-5-2 defensive formation against Bayern Munich

The feeling is that Ronald Koeman will return to the 3-5-2 formation for the game against Bayern Munich, the reliable Alex Demals has claimed on Catalunya Radio.

If true, this would come as a bit of a surprise since Barcelona have started the 2021/22 season using the traditional 4-3-3 formation.

Moreover, it was being reported over the summer that Joan Laporta requested the coach drops the 3-5-2 formation he relied on last season and returns to the more attacking 4-3-3.

Meanwhile, Barca are set to host Bayern on Tuesday, September 14, in their first Champions League match of the season.
