La Liga president criticizes PSG, likens them to Super League

La Liga president Javier Tebas is grossly disappointed with PSG and their star-packed signings.

“The club-states are as dangerous for the football ecosystem as the Super League. We were critical of the Super League because it destroys European football, and we are just as critical of PSG,” Tebas tweeted.

Tebas went on to outline the financial expenses by teams in the French league stating it cannot be sustained.

“Covid losses + 300M; TV revenue in France -40%; and + 500M in salaries? Unsustainable,” Tebas added.

PSG signed Lionel Messi on a free transfer, but will pay him €40m gross per season.

The Parisians also have the likes of Neymar, Mbappe and new signing Donnarumma who're on large salaries.
