Pjanic reveals his honest conversations with Leo Messi

Miralem Pjanic struggled terribly during his one-year spell at Barcelona. The Bosnian has now opened up on what Leo Messi told him about his torrid time at Camp Nou.

"Besiktas wanted me strongly in the last days of the transfer market and I couldn't stay in Barcelona with Koeman, I would have lost another year and I didn't want to," Pjanic was quoted by Football Italia.

"Koeman had an attitude with me that no one understood, not even Messi.

"Leo [Messi], last year, told me several times; 'But why doesn't he let you play? Has something happened?'"

Pjanic has since completed his loan move to Besiktas where he's expected to play for the next year.
