Ronaldo speaks on Man United's chances to fight for trophies this season

"As I told you before, we have huge potential," Cristiano Ronaldo told MUTV after the Newcastle win.

"We have fantastic players, a good coach, a good team. We need to build up the mentality to win the Premier League and even the Champions League.

"So I am here to help the team. I think we have the 11 that are playing and those on the bench that can help as well.

"We have a good team, as I told you, and the spirit is there."

After the arrival of Cristiano, as well as Jadon Sancho, Man United might well have the best attacking line in the Premier League, with players like Jesse Lingard, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial not getting in the strongest line-up.

That certainly boosts United's chances to be a force in every competition, even though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is yet to find a midfield partnership that would be as reliable as Ronaldo is in front of goal.
