'We don't have enough top-level players': Koeman talks Bayern loss

Ronald Koeman has commented on Barcelona's 3-0 home loss to Bayern Munich.

"We had three forwards available. Of course, we would have liked to compete better, but this is what we have, this is what we have available," the coach has told club's media.

"They were better than us. I can't complain. There is a difference in quality both in their starters, and substitutes.

"We have to be realistic. Alba was sick the other night. Luuk de Jong played his first game. Our fans understand the current situation. This is the best we could offer.

"We don't have enough top-level players. We have ended the game with 4 or 5 players that are just 18 years old. Bayern showed they have a better team. There is a difference in the players."

Barca missed Ansu Fati, Ousmane Dembele, Martin Braithwaite and Sergio Aguero for the game due to injuries.

However, the Catalans did have Luuk de Jong, whose arrival was a request from Koeman. Too bad the striker failed to leave an impression.
