Young Boys vs Manchester United Livestream, Team News, Possible lineup and Preview

Man United are ready to play their first game of the Champions League campaign when they face BSC Young Boys on Tuesday.

Plenty to prove for Solskjaer
A 4-1 win over Newcastle at the weekend may have delighted fans at Old Trafford, but Tuesday brings a new challenge. Manchester United have lost six of their 10 UEFA Champions League matches under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as many as they lost in the previous 20 games under Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.

For the heroics of the PSG win, United have barely made a dent in this competition in recent years. Last season’s group stage exit can’t be repeated this time around, especially now that Cristiano Ronaldo is in through the door.

Young Boys can make an impact
In those 10 games under Solskjaer, United have managed a single clean sheet. That came at the expense of a Leipzig side who were dire in a 5-0 defeat. In last season’s group stage United lost 3-2 at Leipzig and 2-1 at Istanbul Basaksehir, so Young Boys should have some confidence.

The hosts made it through three rounds of qualifiers to make this stage for just the second time. Each of their last five matches in the qualifiers saw both teams score, while they notched three goals in all three home games. This is obviously a harder test, but the Swiss side are capable of scoring here.

United to claim high-scoring win
United are off to a great start this term with 11 goals and 10 points from their opening four Premier League games. As heavy favourites they should take the points and rack up plenty of goals along the way, but the weekend showed they won’t have it all their own way.

Newcastle are having a dire start to the season but they still found openings against United. We think the hosts are capable of doing the same, although it’ll probably only be a consolation. Young Boys have only won one of their eight matches against English opponents (D1 L6), so an away win and both teams to score is my first prediction here. I see United ultimately running away with it so a 3-1 victory is my correct score pick.

Team News
The Red Devils are still without Edinson Cavani, who recently suffered a slight injury and even missed the Newcastle United clash.

Dean Henderson is still not fully match fit, which is why he wasn’t included in the traveling squad for the game.

Alex Telles & Scott McTominay are back in training but are still working on getting themselves fully fit.

Fred should be available again after sitting the last game, while Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane are also poised to make their first European appearance for United.

Possible XI

Man United potential XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Shaw, Matic, Pogba, Greenwood, Bruno, Sancho, Ronaldo
