After a 1-0 win at Brentford, Tuchel singled out a Chelsea player.

After Chelsea's 1-0 victory over Brentford on Saturday, Thomas Tuchel praised Edouard Mendy's heroics.

Thanks to Ben Chilwell's spectacular volley in the first half, Mendy made a pair of fantastic saves as the Blues took all three points in the West London Derby.

"To summarize, we were really powerful for 70 minutes and very lucky for 20 minutes."

"Thanks to Edouard, we were able to escape with three points" (Mendy).

After the game, Tuchel told the media, "It was like a cup game towards the end; they took risks and the atmosphere gave them a lot of courage."

"They play like this from the start, and it took a lot of effort not to allow them to develop this energy, and we put a lot of effort into collecting second balls in midfield; we put a lot of effort into invisible work," he said of Brentford.

"In the challenges, we were powerful and played calmly. It's critical not to lose the ball as soon as you win it, as this is what they prefer. In the end, it was like this.
