Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, has highlighted that he is hapoy with Saúl Niguez performance against the Saints in the Carabao cup.
"Was a good match, a huge step in the right direction for him. I am happy," Thomas Tuchel said about Saul's performance against Southampton.
"We thought maybe he would be struggling with the intensity at the 70th minute but he got better and better, had chances and shots.
"We thought let’s keep him and give him the minutes. It was a good step for him."
The Carabao cup against the Saints was the Spaniard fourth 4th and only 90 minutes appearance for the European champions and notably his best display.
